Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-3
We're proud to introduce an easy-to-build sport-scale model of this classic WWII fighter for a Speed-400 or Mega 16/15/5 brushless motor.
History
The Luftwaffe was taken by surprise when some of its high-altitude reconnaissance planes were lost to unseen Soviet fighters at the beginning of Operation Barbarossa. Those fighters were the Soviet's high-speed, high-altitude Mig-3 interceptors.
Unfortunately, most of the aerial combat on the Eastern Front was at low altitude, where the Mig-3 - flown as a replacement for conventional fighters and ground attack aircraft - was not a great performer. Even so, the aircraft was in service almost until the end of the war. The Soviets built more than 3,300 Mig-3 aircraft.

Designed by Terry Majewski from scale 3-views and profile illustrations, it is nearly to scale in profile and plan views.

Flight Report
Terry Majewski reports: "this Mig-3 has proven to be an excellent flyer. The model has gentle stall characteristics and slows down nicely for landing. In the air the airplane fly nicely at 50-60% throttle or really moves out at 80%+ throttle. The flowing lines of the Mig-3 make it a pretty sight on low flybys."
